Wax Carve Your Own Necklace Pendant 29/11/25 (Afternoon)

Join Jewellery Designer and Maker Myfanwy Jones for a hands-on jewellery making experience where you'll design and carve your own unique necklace pendant in wax, ready to be cast in recycled silver using the ancient method of wax casting.

Time: 2pm - 4pm

Location: Siop Iard Caernarfon (First Floor)

Come prepared with ideas, or simply come curious. Either way, you'll receive a one-of-a-kind Silver necklace 3-4 weeks after the session.Perfect for complete beginners and those with some jewellery experience looking to expand their skills 

What to Expect

• Start with 3 Wax Pendant Shapes of your choice - Circle, Oval or Square
• Learn to file, carve, texture, imprint, and shape your design
• Personal guidance from Myfanwy throughout the session
• Design ideas and sample pieces will be available for inspiration
• Bring your own small objects for wax imprinting if you'd like a unique texture!

Included in the Ticket

• One necklace pendant on a 45cm/18" trace or curb chain (chain chosen on the day)
• All tools and materials provided
• Your piece will be cast in silver, polished and posted out to you within 3-4 weeks

Optional Upgrades (charged on the day)

• If you carve more than one pendant, casting additional pendant, casting additional pendants is possible
• Larger wax pendant shapes available for more ambitious designs
• Gold plating, stone setting and other add-ons on offer

Important Info

• Age 18+ only
• No open-toed shoes, long hair must be tied back
• Avoid loose sleeves - small flames may be used
• Bring glasses if needed for detailed work

* All materials and tools are provided on the day, but if you need to bring magnifiers to see detail up close, you are welcome to do so.
