Siop iard Jewellery School

  • In October 2024, Siop iard launched the Siop iard Professional Jewellery School; a landmark initiative bringing high-quality, professional jewellery training to North Wales, where access to this level of craft education has long been limited. What makes this school truly unique is that it is entirely organised and run by working jewellers; the independent female designer-makers who make up the core Siop iard team The curriculum, the teaching approach, and the workshop setup are all shaped by people who understand first-hand what’s needed to succeed in the jewellery industry today.

Entirely self-led and self-funded, the school reflects Siop iard’s core values: collaboration, accessibility, and long term investment in people. It is a natural extension of the community-minded ethos that has shaped our business from day one.

At Siop iard, we have always believed in the power of shared knowledge, community, and peer support. As a collaborative team of jewellers, we’ve spent over a decade working not just for our own success, but to create opportunities for others. Launching the Professional Jewellery School felt like a natural extension of that mission.

  • Since opening in 2013, Siop iard has been built around the idea of shared opportunity—providing space, visibility, and resources to emerging and established jewellers alike. We’ve always worked collaboratively, supporting each other’s development and mentoring new creatives in the field. The Siop iard Professional Jewellery School is both a new initiative and a natural evolution of our ongoing commitment to community engagement.

Over the years, we’ve delivered public craft courses, student work placements, tool access, and professional development workshops. The school was the next step—a way to bring structure, ambition, and long-term vision to this existing ethos.
