We are absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news – Siop iard has been shortlisted in not one, but two categories at the prestigious National Association of Jewellers Awards! Alongside being named in the final eight for Jewellery Retailer of the Year, we are also finalists for Community Engagement of the Year – a recognition that means the world to us.
Siop iard is much more than a beautiful jewellery shop in the heart of Caernarfon. It's home to four local jewellers, each creating unique contemporary work, an exhibition space showcasing guest jewellers from across the UK, a hub for craft courses, where the public can learn skills and explore creativity, a new jewellery school, established this year to offer further education for those in the local industry. All of these things are run on a non-profit basis, purely for the benefit of the jewellery community and wider public – to educate, inspire, and share the joy of making. To see this effort recognised on a national level is incredibly special.
We are so proud to be flying the flag for Wales as part of the British finalists, and we cannot wait to take you along with us on our journey to the awards ceremony on October 23rd.
