From Crown to Collection – Elin Mair

From Crown to Collection – Elin Mair

After the excitement of creating the National Eisteddfod Crown in 2023, our jeweller Elin Mair has returned to the same source of inspiration to develop new work. The crown, commissioned for the National Eisteddfod, was inspired by the historic Lôn Goed in Chwilog – a long, tree-lined avenue celebrated in poetry, song, and Welsh cultural memory.

That inspiration has stayed with her, and now Elin has created a collection of jewellery pieces that capture the same sense of rhythm, movement, and natural beauty found along the avenue. Just as the path stretches on, framed by tall trees, her designs explore flowing lines, repeating forms, and the quiet strength of the landscape. Each piece is a continuation of the story first told through the Crown.

From a Crown worn on stage to jewellery that can be worn every day, Elin’s work carries forward the spirit of Lôn Goed in new and beautiful ways.
